CASTELLO.The City Council of Almassora has projected the reform of the surroundings of the Central Market as an attraction to promote local commerce.The main objective is to eliminate the problem caused by the existing buried organic containers and to achieve, in general, the improvement of the accesses to this site and thus achieve greater projection to this point of purchases.Specifically, the municipal technicians have focused the intervention on the facades of the market that overlook José Ortiz Avenue and the House of Culture.At present, the first one suffers from problems derived from the lifting platforms of the organic containers.The movement of the platform makes them move and the garbage is left out, so that the spills cause bad odors and the proliferation of insects.This same situation is caused if the containers overflow.On the other hand, the recycling containers for the rest of the waste regularly get clogged, a situation that causes the waste to accumulate on the perimeter until it is removed by the collection services.This fact makes it difficult to access the premises and, on the other hand, creates an unattractive area at the entrance to the market which, furthermore, is aggravated by the deterioration of the pavement due to the continuous need to empty the containers.The intervention that affects the lateral facade that faces the House of Culture will allow all the containers that now generate nuisances on José Ortiz avenue to be relocated on an island, but in this case on the surface and in a embellished area that will prevent the launch of objects to the ramp of the underground car park and will solve the problems of dirt in the environment."This situation that affects the two sides of the building causes the market environment to present a problem that needs to be corrected to promote the local market," they point out from the municipal department of Commerce.That is why the consistory will request aid from the Generalitat Valenciana intended for local entities for investments in markets and urban areas of commercial concentration.
